The Application Process

Terms of Appointment

The start date of the post will be April or September 2023. 

A salary commensurate with the importance of the role and experience of the successful candidate will be offered. This will be part of an appropriate package which will include; pension, generous contributory pension scheme (expert advice on pensions can be offered), reasonable UK relocation expenses, medical insurance, fee remission and a range of other benefits available to all staff. Onsite accommodation in a cottage would be available if required, the cottage consists of 3 bedrooms, 1 double and 2 singles.

Preliminary Interviews with LMConsulting will commence before the applications deadline, early applications are encouraged.

• A covering letter addressed to Mr Patrick D’Arcy Chair of Governors. The letter should be no more than 2 pages explaining your reasons for applying and the attractions of this role, the relevance of your experience, and how you relate your personal educational philosophy to your understanding of the school and role. 

• Please submit your application and covering letter by email to HR@sapriory.com before Monday 26th September 9:00am.

The recruitment process will proceed as follows: 

• All applications will be acknowledged by email. If you have not received acknowledgement that your application has been received within two working days of sending it, please contact Mrs Lauren Bhambra (HR@sapriory.com).

• Early Preliminary interviews with Lynne Horner from LMConsulting will commence shortly after the application has been received.

• First round interviews will take place on Tuesday 4th October 2022. Overseas candidates will be interviewed by video conference.

• Final round interviews will take place at St Augustine’s Priory on Tuesday 18th October 2022, with an invite to a pre-interview dinner on Monday 17th October 2022.

• Reference will be sought for all candidates invited to the final round of interviews prior to the interview date. Permission to take up references will be requested from all candidates on offer of the interview.
