St Mary’s needs an inspiring new Headteacher to lead our school in the welcoming, safe, and family friendly town of Crowborough, close to Tunbridge Wells, within easy reach of Eastbourne and Brighton and with good rail links to London. 

Situated at the top of the High Weald, an area of outstanding natural beauty, and on the doorstep of the Ashdown Forest, our over-subscribed school offers a fantastic opportunity for either an aspiring or experienced Headteacher. 

Our supportive Governing Board offers clear strategic direction, and for someone stepping into their first headship we have a full package of support available. If you have the right leadership qualities, we can help you grow into the role.

We are looking for:

  • a practising Catholic, committed to the values of Catholic education
  • a passionate, experienced and ambitious educator, with the vision to clearly articulate the role that the Headteacher will take in further developing and improving our school
  • a highly effective leader of learning, with experience of delivering a broad, rich and varied curriculum that meets the needs of every pupil
  • a genuine commitment to team working, distributed management and the development of all of our staff

You will be: An experienced Assistant, Deputy or Headteacher
