This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate, committed and faith-filled individual to lead an outstanding school at this exciting stage in its development.
The Board of Governors seeks to appoint a new Headteacher to succeed the current Head, who is retiring following 15 years of exceptional leadership, and lead the School onto the next exciting stage of its development. Sacred Heart is an Independent Catholic Prep school for 145 children aged 2-11, consistently achieving Outstanding in ISI and Diocesan Inspections.
The school is a vibrant, inclusive community, with engaged and happy pupils who enjoy learning and behave well. Staff are committed and responsive; encouraging innovation and creativity. A fully involved and active Governing Body, with a wide range of skills, is complemented by an engaged parental group. Numbers continue to rise and the School is strong and financially stable. Recent renovations and a new Foundation Years building have contributed to an increasingly well-resourced and successful school.
Sacred Heart has a proud history and tradition of values and achievement, which sit comfortably with a forward-thinking and ambitious approach to education. There is a clear commitment to excellence across the board. Located in the rural East Sussex village of Wadhurst, it has good transport links to London and the South Coast. Support with relocation and accommodation is available.
The Governors are looking for a practising Catholic who understands and appreciates the distinctive nature of Catholic education, and is committed to maintaining and developing the ethos of the school. He or she will have proven leadership skills, and the ambition, creativity and innovation to build on the School’s firm foundations. The successful candidate will work with Governors, to review and implement the strategic vision that will move the School to further success and ensure that it continues to make a powerful impact on the lives of the children it is educating.
Visits to the school are both strongly encouraged and warmly welcomed. Why not get in touch and find out more about this great opportunity to join our community and make a difference.
