Owing to the retirement of our long-standing Headteacher in August 2016, the children, staff and governors of The Haven VA CE/Methodist Primary School are seeking to appoint an exceptional and inspirational Headteacher to join their much loved school.

Our school is rated "Good" with its sights firmly on outstanding. It is consistently oversubscribed and serves the community the beautiful harbour area of Eastbourne. We are looking for a dynamic leader, with excellent communication skills, who demonstrates and consistently articulates high expectations for staff and pupils alike. As a practising Christian, you would lead by example to bring drive and vision to maximise the development and achievements of all our children, as well as contributing to our local community. You will be warmly welcomed by our enthusiastic children and parents, the committed and motivated staff and supportive Governing Body.

Our school is a voluntary aided Church of England and Methodist Primary with its own church community, which meets within the school building. We have recently completed a building transformation and when the new reception classes join in September this will take us to two-form entry throughout. The school has a Nursery on site (leased to an outstanding nursery provider) and we offer breakfast and after-school clubs.
