Delta Primary School is a one-form entry school that officially opened in 2018. It is a nurturing, supportive and inclusive school, where children have a voice and are offered a broad and creative curriculum. There is an excellent team of dedicated staff, who provide pupils with a high-quality education, which meets their needs, promotes independence and equips them with skills for life, so that pupils can flourish and achieve high expectations. Delta Primary School strives for excellence and their pupil outcomes are outstanding.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and inspirational Headteacher who has the ability and energy to lead and motivate others, with a clear vision for improving teaching and learning and who shares our vision and values. The ideal candidate will have high expectations that all pupils can achieve and any barriers to learning can be overcome through inclusive practice.
Delta Primary School is part of the Connect Education Trust, which draws upon the excellent collaborative practice across all schools who collectively share responsibility for the outcomes for pupils. For an existing Headteacher this could be the next challenge you seek or equally the role may appeal to an experienced Deputy Head. All our Headteachers are supported by the Trust and are given opportunities to develop professionally. There is an ongoing programme of support for new Headteachers and you will be provided with an experienced Headteacher mentor.
The wellbeing of our staff is of paramount importance and we promote a healthy work-life balance. We are constantly reviewing our practices to ensure that our staff can focus on what matters: providing a rich environment in which children can learn and thrive.
As part of the Trust, we offer:
- Wellbeing days
- Attendance reward scheme
- Perkbox app - with access to hundreds of exclusive company perks i.e. high street discounts
- Modern technology for home and school use
- Employee support hub
- Cycle2Work Scheme
In line with recent legislation, applicants must have a command of spoken English that is sufficient to effectively carry out duties of the role.
All Connect Education Trust is committed to safeguarding, therefore all employees working within the Trust must have the ability to work in a way that promotes the safety and wellbeing of our children and young people. All candidates are required to complete the school’s ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ declaration and will be asked to apply for an Enhanced Check from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). For posts in regulated activity, this will include a barred list check. The Trust also requires consent from applicants to carry out online searches of publicly available information, including social media, prior to interview.
The Trust and its schools are committed to ensuring that no applicant or employee receives less favourable treatment or is disadvantaged on the grounds of gender, age, disability, religion, belief, sexual orientation, marital status or race. We encourage expertise and a staff that supports one another to develop their own practice by creating remarkable futures for all pupils.
