Job overview

Thank you for your interest in our Headteacher vacancy.  I hope you find the information we have provided helpful.

The appointment of a new Headteacher is one of the most important tasks any Trust Board and Governing Body will undertake. It is vital that we find the right person for our school - someone who can recognise its many strengths and maintain its ethos and stability, whilst at the same time being innovative, visionary and a skilled leader of change.

We welcome informal visits to the school and tours will be undertaken by a senior member of staff. There will also be opportunities on the first assessment day for shortlisted candidates to ask further questions and you will also find a large amount of information on the school website, including our prospectus.

Please note that all applications must be submitted using the application form provided, though additional sheets may be included if you feel it necessary.

The timetable for the recruitment process is as follows:

Closing date Friday 28 January 2022 at 3.00 pm

Shortlisting Week commencing Monday 31 January 2022

Information to shortlisted candidates Thursday 3 February 2022

Panel Interviews & assessment tasks Monday 7 February 2022

Final Interviews & presentation Tuesday 8 February 2022

All shortlisted candidates will be advised of the timetable and programme of activities for both the assessment and interview days, as well as the presentation subject. It is expected that further shortlisting will occur at the end of day one.

I fully appreciate the time and effort required to complete an application for a post such as this and I thank you in advance.  In return, we will read every application carefully.  However, due to the volume of applications, it is not standard practice to acknowledge receipt of applications or advise candidates who have not been shortlisted.

Please do not hesitate to contact the school if you require any further information or would like to arrange a visit.

We look forward to receiving your application.
