Job overview

Headteacher required for Holy Trinity CE Primary School, Gravesend

The Governors of Holy Trinity CE VA Primary School are seeking to appoint an inspirational Headteacher, who has a proven track record of rapid school improvement, and preferably experience in a multi-ethnic primary school.

Holy Trinity is a Church of England Primary School which was graded RI in February 2016 in their monitoring inspection. The school has been making improvements, and now requires a proven Headteacher or aspiring experienced Deputy to lead the school into a new era of improvement.

The team at Holy Trinity have really pulled together during this challenging time, and are ready to embrace the changes their new Headteacher will implement to further develop their progress. Supported by a strong Senior Leadership Team the role will need to focus on further improvements to Teaching and Learning, where it has been identified that the children aren’t necessarily challenged as much as required.

The school benefits from a new purpose-built KS1 building (completed in 2014), which offers a good foundation to develop the children at Holy Trinity. They have a specific Dance Hall/Studio, but the school needs an inject of inspiration and energy to reach a ‘Good’ outcome at their next Ofsted.

We would urge candidates to visit the School prior to making an application, so that we can answer questions you may have, and so that you can engage with our culture and vision for the School.

If you would like further information, a confidential discussion, or to arrange a school visit please contact Robert Cattermole on:

E: rcattermole@academicis.co.uk
T: 01223-90-79-71

All applications to be sent to Robert Cattermole no later than Monday 14th November 2016, 12-noon.
Shortlisting Meeting: Tuesday 15th November 2016
Interview Date: Monday 21st November 2016

Total roll: 482 children including the nursery
Phase: Primary School – Co-Educational

This School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

This position is subject to a criminal records check from the Disclosure & Barring Service (formerly CRB) which will require you to disclose all criminal convictions.
