St Malachy's Primary is a Catholic Primary Voluntary Academy based at the centre of the community and Parish of Our Lady of Lourdes & St Malachy's.  We are part of the Blessed Peter Snow Catholic Academy Trust. This is a very exciting time for our Trust as we prepare to grow, becoming a trust of 16 Schools in 2020.

The Trustees and the Academy Councillors wish to appoint a practising Catholic who is dynamic, energetic and hard-working, possessing leadership skills with resilience and determination. This is a unique opportunity for a motivational Headteacher to provide inspiration and aspiration to improve the lives of each and every child in our challenging community. They will work to ensure that all our children are happy and excited to come to school knowing that they are in a safe and caring environment where they can speak freely.
We serve a socially diverse community and embrace all the challenges and opportunities that offers, Trustees are currently working to appoint a school based Social Worker to ensure we continue to serve our children’s and community’s needs.

The Trustees and Academy Councillors feel the following will be the key focus for the appointed candidate:

• To continue to drive standards and ensure students make better than expected progress.
• To have a clear and consistent focus on improving teaching, stabilising and building our relatively new team. 
• To work collaboratively with other schools in our growing Trust.
