Job overview

Lunt’s Heath Primary School in Widnes is a 4-11 school in the heart of the town. It has 420 pupils based on a 2-form entry in Reception progressing through to Year 6.

The school prides itself as being at the heart of the local community and is well regarded. It lives by its mission of putting children at the heart of everything it does and this is recognised in its vision of ‘developing world class citizens through excellence in education’.

Following the retirement of Headteacher, Mr. Andrew Williams, an excellent opportunity has arisen to become the new Headteacher of the school as we embark on the next stage of the school’s journey.

Role Purpose:

Putting children and their education at the heart of everything the school sets out to achieve, the new Headteacher will set vision and agenda for the future and working with the staff, governors and parents alike will create an environment that is conducive to developing the adults of tomorrow to be the best they can be, both in terms of educational attainment and as people in contemporary society.

The new Headteacher will ensure the highest possible quality of education, range of opportunities and standards of attainment for all pupils and will drive a safe and inclusive environment where children are free to learn and express themselves in their own way, whilst at the same time constantly promoting the values of respect, responsibility, honesty, perseverance and sharing which are central to everything the school does.

The school is committed to living to its mission and values and helping its children achieve their personal goals.
