Job overview

“Great opportunities, great challenges”

We seek an inspiring and dedicated Head Teacher to lead our wonderful Nursery School and Children’s Centre.

Located in North Tottenham, Rowland Hill serves an incredibly diverse community. Our integrated nursery school and children’s centre includes brilliant outside play areas and gardens which support the curriculum and also engage parents and the wider community. Alongside the nursery school and children’s centre, we provide early education for 60 two year olds. As a consortium with Haringey’s other two nursery schools, we also run a comprehensive early years training programme for providers.

This post provides great opportunity and exciting challenges for a highly skilled early years educator. Our ideal candidate will:

  • be an innovative leader, passionate about providing children with the greatest head start possible, supporting hundreds of families in the local area
  • be an excellent early years teacher with deep knowledge and understanding of the EYFS statutory framework
  • possess first class communication, collaboration and people skills, with the ability to build and lead effective staff teams and positively engage with parents and wider stakeholder groups in the community
  • have the drive to lead our school and children’s centre in this next phase of its development and extend the training role of the nursery schools in the borough

As a strategic leader you will also be expected to work collaboratively with other schools and local networks, both contributing to and learning from these.
We welcome visits to the school. Please contact Jainee Shah on 0208 808 6089 to make an appointment.

Closing date: Midday, Friday 13th May 2016
Interview date: Monday 23rd May 2016
