At Grange Primary School (Harrow) we provide a caring, safe and supportive environment where all families are welcome and children are able to develop the skills to become happy, healthy and independent individuals ready to make their way in a diverse community.

We are proud to have children from all cultures, faiths and backgrounds, with different strengths and needs at the school. Grange was described in our last Ofsted as a ‘happy, hardworking and inclusive school’, judged ‘Good’ in all areas (2015).

Staff and Governors are committed to both the children and the school community as a whole, and work together as a team towards achieving the school vision of ‘Learning Together, Respecting Each Other, Achieving Our Potential’.

Our Head Teacher left in the summer 2017 and we are currently working with an Acting Head for the 2017-18 academic year. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to join a well-established and exciting school, where you can really make a difference to the future of both the school and the children’s achievements.

The Governors of the school are looking to appoint a permanent Head Teacher who will be:

  • a strong leader who will foster a sense of teamwork and provide a dynamic and inspiring example for staff and pupils
  • committed to a culture of continuous improvement of education standards that promotes excellence for staff and pupils alike, and builds on our current Ofsted rating of ‘Good’ (June 2015)
  • passionate about children’s learning and development, inspiring children to love learning and leading the school in caring for our children
  • committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children leading by example to enable all staff and volunteers to share this commitment
  • articulate, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively to a range of audiences, and be engaged in an active partnership between school, home, and the wider community

We can offer you:

  • an exciting opportunity to lead and develop our school, supporting the team to work towards an Outstanding School experience for pupils and staff alike
  • a supportive and motivated team of staff and governors
  • happy and friendly children who enjoy their school experience
  • support with your continuing professional development
  • a commitment to whole-school well-being

Our website gives a good introduction to our school, but we would also like to encourage you to come and visit us. Please contact the School Office on 020 8422 5070 or email: office@grange.harrow.sch.uk to make an appointment. Visits can be arranged between 8th and 19th January.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check and references will be taken up before interview. If you believe you have the relevant skills and experience to be considered for this position, we would welcome hearing from you.
