An exceptional opportunity to lead a much-loved, outstanding Catholic primary school into the future.

St Joseph’s Harrow is a two form entry Catholic primary school serving the parish of St. Joseph in Wealdstone. A vibrant Catholic school with a passion for innovative learning where Christ is at the heart of everything

As a practising Roman Catholic in good standing with the church, your drive and vision will help us to continue to maximise the development and achievements of all our pupils, as well as contributing to our local communities.

We are intent on building on the very firm foundations that our present Headteacher has developed and want to continue to provide an excellent academic and pastoral education for every child in our care. Our school is a happy, forward looking school with a strong history of success. We strive to create an environment wherein each child is nurtured and cherished for what they are and challenged to be the best that they can be.

Our school has been assessed by Ofsted as “Outstanding” and we are determined to both maintain that standard and improve upon it. Far from relaxing we see this as a starting point for the development of new and innovative strategies that will lead to even higher standards. The school is currently undergoing conversion to Academy status and will form part of the Harrow Catholic schools CAT, Governors see this as another opportunity for the school to share best practice and work closely with our other local Catholic schools.

We would welcome applications from experienced Headteachers as well as aspiring Deputies who will be able to demonstrate excellent leadership, management and communication skills.

Governors seek a candidate who:

  • Is a confident and proven leader who lives out daily the gospel values
  • Has a clear, consistent focus on Teaching and Learning
  • Demonstrates a track record of supporting and developing outstanding teaching

As a confident, innovative and organised leader, the successful applicant will show that they are able to maintain good relationships throughout the school community and participate fully in the life of the school.

Visits to the school for prospective candidates are both recommended and warmly welcomed. Even if you have not been considering a move why not come and visit us and find out about this great opportunity to enjoy leading our community?
