Spring Grove is an independent Nursery and Prep school for boys and girls aged 2 to 11, widely known for its family ethos and feel. The Governors are seeking an exceptional person to lead Spring Grove through the next chapter in its development. You will provide strategic vision, ambition, inspiration and a sense of fun to children’s learning. You will possess excellent communication skills, a keen business sense and the ability to take the school forward, whilst maintaining its distinctive ethos. You will embrace our vision of Spring Grove being a great place for children to grow.

In July 2020, after 12 years of inspirational service to Spring Grove, we will say a fond farewell to our Head, Bill Jones and his wife, Hilary, as they embark on their retirement. To build on the achievements and vision of Bill’s tenure, the Governors are now advertising this exciting post and inviting interested candidates to apply by 3rd May 2019.

Spring Grove is located in a stunning rural location, in the village of Wye, between Ashford and Canterbury, close to the high-speed train into London. The school offers a first-class education, preparing children for both grammar and senior independent schools.

Music, art, drama and sport play a huge part in the life of every child at Spring Grove. The school’s extensive 14-acre grounds are one of the most beautiful playgrounds in Kent and its Forest School has won a series of awards since opening in 2016. Most recently the Head of Forest School was voted ‘Inspiring Outdoor Educator of the Year’.
