Horizon Primary Academy’s aim is to actively engage and support its students in their personal and academic development, empowering them to be fulfilled and make a positive contribution to society.

We are a community school that delivers consistently high quality teaching and learning, while delivering attainment outcomes above national for the last three years.

Our emphasis is on developing ‘the whole child’ and our Academy is leading the way in character education by implementing Scouting as part of our curriculum. We are now a flagship school for scouting and this is an integral part of our curriculum and ethos.

Horizon Primary Academy became part of the Kemnal Academies Trust on September 1st 2011.  We are a one form entry school, in an area of high social deprivation.  The staff work hard as a team, determined to make a difference, in order to provide exceptional inclusive education for every child.  The pupils at Horizon Primary Academy enjoy challenge in all areas of their education and well-being, which is what makes their learning and experiences at Horizon Primary Academy enjoyable.
