Woodlands is an outstanding, all-age 2-19, special school for pupils with Severe Learning Difficulties, PMLD, complex needs and ASD. The school is housed in two adjacent buildings set within beautiful and extensive grounds amidst Surrey woodlands. Both the Lower and Upper School have recently been refurbished.

OFSTED reported the school as being ‘Outstanding’ in 2014. The report reflected the many strengths of the school, including:

  • Pupils make excellent progress in speaking, listening, literacy and numeracy, and in their personal development, because of the very high focus placed on these areas.
  • The school provides high levels of personalised training for staff that is closely linked to their own targets for improvement. Regular training for all staff in aspects such as behaviour and safeguarding ensure consistent practice across the school.
  • The governing body is very supportive, providing high quality challenge to leaders.

At Woodlands we truly believe that “Together Everyone Achieves”
