The governing body is looking to recruit a permanent Headteacher who will be able to join us in the recruitment of a Deputy Head, (our deputy will retire at the end of the academic year) and put in place a revised Senior Leadership Team. We are looking for a natural and viable leader with an inclusive approach to partnership working at every level, including within the wider community.

Cardinal Heenan has a strong Catholic ethos with an excellent record of academic achievement and takes great pride in developing individuals to their full potential. The school achieved its best-ever GCSE results in 16/17, placing the school in the top 20% of schools and delivered P8 outcomes of +0.47 for all pupils, including disadvantaged pupils whose progress was higher than the national average for non-disadvantaged pupils.

Cardinal Heenan Catholic High School values religious studies. Children are encouraged to demonstrate their talents and develop new skills by following the rules of Christianity. Therefore, Religious Education is one of the most valued subjects at the school. Their aim is to respect others and make the world a better place to live in. Worshiping Christ is valued and pupils’ achievement is celebrated by all. Students should also be tolerant of people from all backgrounds of life.
