Job overview

L14 £55,064 - L20 £63,806

Are you a community focused, enthusiastic and talented senior leader?

Rufford Park Primary School sits at the heart of our community and we’re proud of its achievements: It is a great school, in a vibrant city. Our Headteacher is retiring after over 20 year’s service and we are now looking for the right individual with the vision to lead us and build on our current successes.  Over recent years the school has expanded and now caters for children between 2 and 11 years of age. We firmly believe that our children are at the centre of everything that we do and we encourage them all to be the very best that they can be.

Our children and school community are looking for a headteacher who will:

• Prioritise the well-being, resilience and achievements of our children and put this at the centre of all decisions.

• Lead our school with vision and wisdom: raising standards where required, supporting innovation and having the good judgement to change direction when needed.

• Be visible and accessible, engaging positively with children, staff, parents, governors and the community, swiftly building relationships and communicating the school's ethos.

• Create a stimulating learning school environment, encouraging enquiring minds and the development of lifelong learning skills and attitudes.

• Promote excellence and innovation in teaching and learning to ensure excellent academic progress alongside the creative, physical, social and emotional development of the children.

• Motivate, inspire and develop staff to provide the best environment for our children

In return we offer:

• Confident, happy children who enjoy their time in school and are eager to learn and succeed.

• Talented, committed professional staff who are open to development and new ideas.

• A fully-supportive Governing Body who are ambitious for the school and its pupils.

• A bright, spacious and well-resourced learning environment set in green space.

• A thriving school community with supportive parents, an active PTA and strong collaborative relationships with our neighbouring schools in the Aireborough Learning Partnership Trust.

You are warmly encouraged to visit our school to see first-hand all that we have to offer.  Visits can be arranged by contacting Mrs Alison Anslow, Headteacher, at a.anslow@ruffordparkprimary.org.uk.
