Drighlington Primary School is a friendly, inclusive school of over 400 children where the values and ethos of a high level of care for every individual underpin our daily work. The School is situated on the border between Leeds, Bradford and Kirklees.

Following the retirement of our existing Headteacher, the Governing Body are seeking to appoint an inspirational leader who can demonstrate the following abilities and qualities to lead our school to develop further still towards becoming a centre of excellent practice.

  • Can lead by example and motivate staff on their journey of continuous development and improvement

  • Is experienced in making strong strategic decisions to ensure best value for the school
  • Has the ability to engage warmly and collaboratively with families and the wider community
  • Can enhance our curriculum and extended provision to meet the changing needs of our community
