Headteacher

Carlton Road Academy

L18 - L24 (£64,143.00 - £74,295.00)

This is an exciting opportunity to join a fantastic school in the heart of its community in Boston. Our learners at Carlton Road Academy are amazing and you would be leading an enthusiastic and experienced team in a well resourced and attractive learning environment. We feel this is a really attractive opportunity and we are looking to appoint an innovative and dynamic headteacher to lead the academy into the next stage of its development. As a Multi-Academy Trust, we currently educate 3,500 wonderful learners and employ 450 staff team members in the Boston and Spalding area of Lincolnshire. As a Voyage Headteacher, you would join a talented, friendly and collaborative team of Headteachers and other leaders in our MAT. Each Headteacher has the autonomy to lead and develop their own academy to best meet the needs of their learners but as an organisation and a team we are there to support, inspire and help each other. We want to be a learning organisation that is continually improving and we want to positively affect the lives of every learner who is educated with us.

We require all our headteachers to be collaborative, ambitious and motivated - and we are searching for a Headteacher for Carlton Road Academy who can build and sustain a team-orientated culture of best practice and continual improvement. We are seeking an experienced educational professional with a high degree of personal integrity and excellent interpersonal and communication skills who can be a confident ambassador and will develop partnerships outside the academy, as well as nurture leaders and leadership talent within the school. The Headteacher will have overall responsibility for the highest standards of organisation, management and conduct of the academy, leading collaboratively with the Trust and its academies, staff, children, parents and the wider community to shape and deliver the academy’s vision, ethos and strategic direction.

Visits to the academy are warmly welcomed and highly encouraged. To arrange a tour of the school and to have an opportunity to have an informal discussion with the CEO/CEdO about the Trust, academy and its aims, the following two dates have been allocated:

• Wednesday 26 May 2021

•  Wednesday  09 June 2021

To arrange a visit please Email recruitment@voyage-education.org or call 01205 331900 (option 4). You can download an application form the vacancies section on the Trust's website www.voyage-education.org.

The completed application form, with a covering letter, should be sent to recruitment@voyage-education.org by 12 noon on Monday 14 June 2021

Interviews will take place on 22 and 23 June 2021

This post is classed as having a high degree contact with children or vulnerable adults and is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. An enhanced disclosure will be sought through the Disclosure and Barring Service as part of the Voyage Education Partnership’s pre-employment checks.
