Boston West Academy is a successful, happy and inclusive 4 -11 primary school in Boston, South Lincolnshire. Having been judged as outstanding by Ofsted in 2016, we are proud of what we have achieved over the past few years. We are now excited to welcome a new Headteacher to our team.

At Boston West we endeavour to create a welcoming, inclusive and safe environment for every child to reach their full potential. We are committed to developing our pupils both individually and as team players, able to work collaboratively in their learning. Our high expectations and high-quality teaching allow our children to achieve and become inquisitive, motivated and passionate lifelong learners.

Boston West Academy is part of Anthem Schools Trust, a family of 16 schools bound together by its collaborative approach, its evidence-informed teaching and an emphasis on continuous learning for all.

We are looking to appoint a Headteacher with a proven track record as a senior leader: either a successful Headteacher looking for a new challenge or a candidate with substantial experience at Deputy Headteacher level. The post holder will deliver inspirational and motivational leadership across the school to ensure that it maintains an outstanding quality of education. As a senior leader in our organisation, the post-holder would be expected to embrace Anthem’s values of integrity, collaboration and excellence and work closely with other schools across the Trust, whilst enjoying the autonomy to further develop the school’s distinctive ethos.

In addition to a competitive salary, we provide high-quality leadership coaching and professional development and the opportunity to play a key role in a dynamic and ambitious schools trust. We would also consider a relocation package for the right candidate.

Our school is proud to be part of Anthem, a multi-academy trust that creates ambitious and successful schools where every child thrives.

We are a forward-thinking, innovative primary school with a passion for learning beyond the classroom. Much of our curriculum is taught outdoors in our inspirational and award-winning educational school grounds.

At Boston West Academy, we believe that strong, positive relationships provide the foundations for a school to flourish. We enjoy ‘working together for success’ within an optimistic and positive culture of excellence.

A key element of our school‘s culture is the ethos of care: care for oneself, for others and for the environment. Our over-arching value of care is underpinned by four other core values: collaboration, attitude, respect and equality (CARE).  We are an outward-facing school and embrace collaboration with others so that we can secure excellent achievements for our children. We continually strive to provide innovative experiences, inside and outside the classroom, that make learning fun.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff, visitors, and volunteers to share in this commitment. All post holders are subject to an Enhanced DBS Check, suitable references, and other essential checks. Staff involved in recruitment and selection of employees are trained in safer recruitment, and all our staff and volunteers undertake Child Protection training.
