Job overview

Are you passionate about early years education?

Do you have the experience to be our new Head teacher, who can build on our vision and develop the future of our school?  Do you have the personal vision and leadership skills to take the school forward from Good to Outstanding under the new OFSTED framework?

Chapel Street is a busy nursery in the centre of Luton. Our families come from diverse cultural backgrounds and speak a range of languages. Our two-year-olds play and learn alongside the older children in mixed aged classes. In our inclusive setting we also offer resourced provision for children with severe and complex special needs.

We are looking for a practitioner with a track record of achieving excellent outcomes and progress for young children and your strategic leadership will ensure that all our children are inspired to learn through play, grow in self-confidence and are encouraged to fulfil their individual potential.

Whether you are an experienced Head, or a Deputy looking for your next exciting challenge, you will have a passion for early years education. You will be a highly motivated person, able to inspire others, to lead change and development, and maximise the potential of our committed staff team. You will also have experience of carefully managing budgets and an understanding of the current pressures faced by nursery schools.

We strongly recommend that prospective candidates view the school. Please contact Louise Knowles in the school office on 01582 413552 (EXT1) to arrange a visit. More information can also be found at www.chapelstreet.luton.sch.uk
