Job overview

Due to the retirement of our present, highly regarded Headteacher, the governors, children and staff seek to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic, caring and inspirational Headteacher who will make sure that Garrett Hall continues to be an “outstanding” school where learning remains an enjoyable and enriching experience for all. 

Our next Headteacher will have:

  • Headteacher, or Deputy Headteacher experience 
  • Proven successful leadership and management experience with a clear, shared vision
  • An enthusiasm and passion for learning
  • High expectations and a proven ability to raise standards
  • A willingness to further develop our broad and balanced curriculum
  • The ability to inspire and motivate others
  • Will promote inclusion and diversity
  • The ability to maintain and develop partnerships between children, staff, parents, governors, other local schools and the wider community
  • Excellent communication skills, open and honest
  • The enthusiasm and empathy required to be an outstanding leader
  • Will continue to ensure effective safeguarding is in place.
