Our school has a strong Catholic ethos and is a thriving, successful school. Our children are from diverse backgrounds and we are committed to high standards, encouraging individual excellence by supporting each child to achieve their potential.

The school has been judged Outstanding in the last Diocesan Section 48 Inspection, June 2013 and Good in the previous Section 5 Inspections – most recently February 2013.

Due to the planned retirement of our current valued and dedicated Headteacher the Governors of St. Mary’s offer a fantastic opportunity for an experienced, successful and forward thinking Catholic senior leader to build on current work to move us from Good to Outstanding

  • Is a Qualified Teacher with a proven track record of effective leadership.
  • Has the drive and vision to promote and inspire the highest standards of teaching and learning.
  • Has excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Is passionate about making a difference for every child.
  • Nurtures the continuous development of all staff.

In return we can offer:

  • A happy school with a strong Catholic ethos supported by all staff.
  • Pupils who are keen, kind and caring with a desire to learn and who are proud of their school.
  • A strong inclusive team who are committed to raising standards and meeting the needs of all pupils.
  • A board of Governors who will support, encourage, engage and challenge in equal measure.

Prospective candidates are warmly encouraged to visit the school. Visits are scheduled for Monday 1st, Tuesday 2nd and Thursday 11th February 2016 and can be booked by contacting Mrs Julie France on 01634 855783 or via e-mail at office@stmarysrcp.medway.sch.uk (alternative dates may be available).
