Job overview

Headteacher – Elaine Primary School (Rochester, Kent)

Required for September 2022 or sooner

Competitive salary

The Inspire Partnership is a successful and thriving education Trust proud to serve diverse communities in Medway, Croydon and  Greenwich.  We have recently reviewed our leadership structure to provide the Partnership with greater education capacity which means we are looking to recruit a Headteacher for Elaine Primary School. Our aim is to offer a life changing education to children. Our schools work in collaboration to transform the lives of the children and communities we serve.

Our core values of Collaboration, Excellence, Friendship, Resilience, Respect and Responsibility, define the way we care for, enrich and teach every child.

What sets us apart from others is the opportunity to work at the cutting edge of educational thinking and practice, supported by excellent training and development and opportunities to take part in ground breaking research projects and collaborative work with talented and innovative colleagues, both at a local and national level.

Elaine Primary School is a two-form entry school in which we work hard to ensure that every child is given the best possible support to fulfil their potential.  We work closely with outside agencies to meet the additional needs of our pupils, and parent partnerships are considered as vital to supporting pupils’ learning.

With clear boundaries for behaviour through our values-based approach, focusing on the importance of relationships, consistent but fair consequences, children understand the parameters and feel safe in school.  We know that providing the best possible start helps to ensure lifelong learning success, this is why we place great emphasis on ensuring that children feel secure and happy from day one.  Learning is designed to follow their interests and each transition – from nursery to reception, through infants and into juniors – is carefully planned to ensure a smooth and worry-free progression.

Our Elaine Education Centre is a specialist provision that supports children who have challenges that can impact on their learning, specialising in Social, Emotional and Mental Health which caters for up to 30 primary aged pupils who have an Educational Health Care Plan.  The Centre provides a supportive and caring environment for learning, nurturing moral values and outstanding teaching, designed to help our pupils achieve their personal best.

We are seeking to appoint a candidate who is keen to build on their passion for providing our young people with the very best learning experiences. Your application should highlight and evidence your leadership strengths and experience and, your commitment and alignment to the Inspire Partnership ethos and values must be a strong theme in your application.

This role offers a fantastic career opportunity for the successful candidate to lead in shaping the strategic vision and direction not only for Elaine Primary School, but for the Trust as a whole.  The role will enable the post holder to collaborate with other members of the Trust Senior Leadership Team, to participate in and, on occasion lead initiatives focused on supporting school development in other schools and trusts as part of the Inspire Partnership ethos of supporting excellent education for all.

Further information about our Trust is available at: https://www.inspirepartnership.co.uk or to find out more about this opportunity, please contact Mrs Melissa Carpenter, Trust Education Leader at mcarpenter@inspirepartnership.co.uk.

Visits to our are strongly encouraged.  To arrange a visit please contact Abby Wong, Executive Assistant on 07761 918457 or awong@inspirepartnership.co.uk.
