Lonesome Primary School is a vibrant, two-form entry, co-educational primary school with 421 pupils on roll and 104 part-time nursery places. Judged to be Good in its Ofsted inspection of October 2015, it serves a diverse community in Mitcham with around 30 languages spoken in the school.
The school is currently being led by an interim Headteacher and the Governing Board is now looking to appoint a substantive Head to:
- provide inspirational and motivational leadership across the school
- maintain a relentless focus on the quality and consistency of teaching and learning, with an ongoing emphasis on reading and writing
- promote the school’s inclusive ethos, enabling all pupils to access learning opportunities to achieve their full potential
- develop innovative ways to engage with and reach all parents and stakeholders to position the school at the heart of its community
Currently a Headteacher or an outstanding Deputy with demonstrable experience of working successfully as a senior leader, you are an inspirational leader with a strong commitment to raising attainment and improving performance. You possess the skills to inspire and promote the highest quality teaching across the whole curriculum and an approach which puts all pupils at the heart of the learning process, raising standards and securing excellent progress.
