Job overview

“A safe and fun environment to inspire children”

We are an improving school that has just been judged “Good” by Ofsted (December 2017).  We’re keen to do much more.  We have many good features – our children are just one of these.  We have an experienced leadership team and a caring staff group that are passionate about learning.

Our school, Gorringe Park Primary is three form entry with circa 600 children aged 3 to 11.  Great teaching and a curriculum that enriches children’s experiences in the school along with strong pastoral care have been at the heart of our improvement journey.

To make further improvements we need to build on the work done and continue improving.  The departure of our existing headteacher to work abroad creates an opportunity for an outstanding leader to take us on the next step of the journey to being an exceptional place for our children to learn – they deserve nothing less.

This is a supportive environment as well as an ambitious one.  There is a strong foundation to build upon.  We are looking for an individual who can inspire, persuade and maximise the talents of our staff, who in turn will create a setting where children develop a love of learning that will position them well in years to come. If you feel you have the skills and expertise to take us forward then please do contact us.

For a confidential discussion please contact our advising consultants at Pentir - Tom Atkins on 07879 435232 (tom.atkins@pentir.com) or Mike Phillips on 07830 313915 (mike.phillps@pentir.com).
