Headteacher

We are looking for a Headteacher to join an Ofsted Outstanding school near Lichfield, Staffordshire. Standing in a superb therapeutic setting Longdon Hall’s outstanding reputation stems from its overwhelming success in re-engaging the most vulnerable and disillusioned learners across the Midlands. At Longdon Hall we meet the needs of the most vulnerable young people and will equip them with the necessary skills for life through differentiated learning and intervention support. You will develop the curriculum as well as a nurturing and therapeutic environment to meet a range of needs including social, emotional, behavioural, communication and learning difficulties.  

About the role

You will work with and be responsible to the Assistant Director of Acorn Care and Education, in sustaining the Schools outstanding performance and ratings. 

As Headteacher, you will promote a relentless focus on the quality of education and delivery of a broad, balanced and relevant curriculum that meets the needs of children and young people and produces positive outcomes. A place at Longdon Hall will ensure improvements in behaviour, confidence and self-belief, which can then be transferred into appropriate and accelerated learning inside the classroom and beyond. Working with your Deputy Headteachers, you will ensure the school has effective management and the required team capability to continually improve.  Who are we looking for? 

We are looking to hear from experienced Headteachers or rising Senior Leaders with experience of inspiring multi-disciplinary teams to deliver outstanding learning for children and young people with special education needs. 

We are looking for someone who knows how to bring a creative and innovative approach to improving performance and support for our pupils and their families. An excellent communicator, you will act as an ambassador for Longdon Hall, and will have demonstrable experience of working in partnership with parents, commissioners, local authorities and other stakeholders.

Please note that we offer an auto-enrolment pension scheme and a non-contractual bonus scheme Salary range £60,000-£70,000 dependent upon experience.
