Your personal development is also important to us, so we offer training opportunities such as; CPD through Teaching School Alliance and a peer review process.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead our school through the next stages of development and would suit either an experienced Headteacher or a Deputy looking for a first headship.

We are very proud of our School and would highly recommend arranging a visit and tour before any application, to see if we are the right place for you!

We are a rural community primary school situated in the village of Old Buckenham, Norfolk. As a primary school we have always catered for the age range 4 to 11, a seven year educational span, however in August 2018, we took on Buckenham Pre-School Group to extend our age range from 2 years old. We are therefore now a joint Primary and Nursery School. We have seven classes: one for each academic year, which enables us to deliver the EYFS and National Curriculum to classes containing single age ranges.

The school was opened in 1963 and has been extended considerably since then. We are particularly proud of our outstanding grounds including: two playgrounds, a wildlife area with pond, a vast games’ field, international arboretum, Amphitheatre, tunnel and mound, an adventure playground and an exciting and stimulating outdoor learning area for our youngest children. We are very lucky to have such a fantastic space for the children.

Due to our close proximity we have very strong links with both Old Buckenham High School and Chapel Green Special School, enabling us to work closely together. We also offer a range of trips and clubs which provide and promote opportunities for children to discover their talents.
