About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional and visionary Headteacher to lead our vibrant and thriving school community at Wroughton Academies. As Headteacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the infant and junior schools, fostering a culture of academic excellence, personal growth, and community engagement.

Our History

Wroughton Infant Academy and Wroughton Junior Academy are welcoming and ambitious schools in Gorleston-on-Sea, Great Yarmouth. Since December 2016 Wroughton Academies have been part of the Creative Education Trust. This has enabled the schools to rigorously pursue rapid improvement for the children they teach and a brand new link building was opened in 2019 to ensure that the two schools are as closely connected as possible.

Our Mission

Our mission is to develop the full academic, personal and social potential of each individual pupil. Through the highest expectations, we ensure that children have the knowledge, understanding and skills to be confident and successful.

Our Community

The Wroughton Academies serve the picturesque area of Gorleston-on-Sea on the Norfolk coast. Gorleston-on-Sea's combination of community spirit, convenient amenities, historic charm, and natural beauty make it an attractive place to live for those seeking a coastal lifestyle with excellent links to the surrounding countryside and the historic city of Norwich.

Our team

We have a hard-working, dedicated and supportive team of staff at Wroughton who want the children to be happy, successful and ready for the next stage of their education.

Our ideal candidate will:

1. Provide inspirational and motivational leadership across the two schools that raises aspirations and drives academic performance.

2. Champion a culture that encourages initiative and accountability and strengthens the quality of leadership at all levels.

3. Deliver a rich and varied curriculum offer that meets pupils’ needs in an ever changing world.

4. Develop effective working relationships with partners and stakeholders across the community to fulfil the schools' goals.

About you

As an existing Headteacher or Senior Leader with substantial experience of school leadership, you have the creativity, drive and ambition to lead our schools.

You will possess the leadership qualities and flair to make great things happen that will take Wroughton Academies to the next level. You are committed to further developing a strong team of leaders, teachers and support staff to deliver a culture of continuous school improvement.

Building on the ethos of Wroughton Infant Academy and Wroughton Junior Academy, you will foster an environment in which learning continues to thrive and where students are at the heart of everything.

What we offer:

In return for your energy, passion and ambition, we offer you the whole-hearted support of a very successful and growing multi-academy trust. You will also be rewarded with a highly attractive remuneration package, and the opportunity to work collaboratively with a group of highly talented Headteachers to drive the Trust’s future.
