Our Associated Sixth Form with nearby St Aidan’s C of E School has a national reputation with over 1100 students. St John Fisher plays a lead role in the Yorkshire Teaching School Alliance (YTSA) and you will be a key strategist in the further development of these two successful partnerships.

We require a practising Catholic Headteacher from September 2018 who will lead us on the next stage of our journey, maintaining and developing our profile for excellence and maximising the opportunities from the changing educational landscape.

The ideal candidate will:

• be passionate about Catholic Education
• have clarity of vision for the school
• develop partnership working with third parties
• be politically astute in all dealings with the LA, Diocese and all other bodies
• be a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills
• be able to take key decisions with regard for calculated risks
• actively develop and progress the YTSA

Our ethos as a member of a teaching school is to provide all our staff with an environment that enables them to develop and grow. Governors will provide the opportunity for a developing leader to flourish or an experienced leader with aspirations to build on their experience within the breadth of partnerships that St John Fisher offers.
