Teaching Commitment: Though a fixed teaching commitment is not currently required, the headteacher must be prepared to cover when needed.
“Building our future, step by step”
At Bentham Community Primary School the whole school community work as a team to create a safe, happy and inspiring learning environment where all childrens’ individual needs are met in a variety of ways. Regardless of ability, gender or background, we want all children to achieve and reach their full potential.
Currently rated as Good with an Outstanding Early Years provision, Bentham Community Primary School represents an excellent opportunity for a headteacher to ‘build our future step by step”, engaging with the community, improving attainment and developing provision and finances.
Able to effectively motivate, inspire and influence pupils, staff and stakeholders, you will assume responsibility for all aspects of school life. This will include developing the improvement plan, raising standards, directing the school’s strategic planning and delivering an outstanding provision which meets the needs of all our young people. There may be the opportunity to further develop the Early Years provision and potentially a ‘Forest School’.
To succeed, you must have a clear vision for the school, and the ability to maximise pupil achievement and numbers. An excellent communicator on a diverse number of levels, you must be able to influence stakeholders and promote the school to the wider community.
We very much welcome school visits and, if you’d like the opportunity to come along, please call Mrs Sally Johnson, Administrator and Clerk to Governors on 01524 261412 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org
