Currently rated as Good, we have well behaved children, and good relationships with stakeholders. KS1 results are in line with expectations though KS2 need some improvement.

We are seeking to appoint a committed and experienced professional with a remit to further shape our improvement plan while continuing to raise standards, particularly in developing teaching staff, providing clear leadership and ensuring that key targets are set and achieved.

A strong communicator and team builder, you must be able to motivate inspire and influence pupils, staff and stakeholders. As well as directing the school’s strategic planning, you’ll lead the development of the curriculum, strengthen performance and deliver an outstanding provision which ensures better outcomes for all our children.

To succeed, you must be a proven leader with the presence and ability to actively set and achieve challenging goals and maximising pupil achievement. You must also be confident in forging and developing networks and have the skill to analyse, understand and interpret data.

Visible, approachable and proactive, you’ll assume responsibility for all aspects of school life, including positive engagement with the wider community and leading you will explore collaborative options and, in particular, opportunities for future academisation.

Easingwold is a small market town in North Yorkshire. With a population of just under 5,000, it is located about 12 miles north of the City of York, at the foot of the Howardian Hills.

The town, mentioned in the Domesday Book, benefits from good railway services from the City of York, providing easy access to Leeds, Sheffield and Hull as well as all major destinations including a particularly swift service to London. Road communications via the A64 and A1 provide good access to the coast as well as the wider motorway network.
