Due to retirement, governors are seeking to appoint a new Headteacher to start in January 2020.  You will be forward thinking, energetic and passionate about education.

You will continue to nurture our children’s potential and ensure that our values of respect, pride, courage, aspiration, independence and perseverance are developed.    

South End Infant School is a three-form-entry school set in the outskirts of Rushden, East Northamptonshire.  The whole school community works hard; using innovative methods to cater for all children’s needs and embrace their diversity. We excite children in their learning and inspire them so they achieve their full potential. The school aims to be a place where the children want to come to learn and enjoy, where they feel valued and part of the school family.

You will be:

• Able to ensure the school’s stability is retained but challenge existing ways of working to continually move it forward

• Passionate about education with fresh ideas to enrich our curriculum whilst being able to keep a sound sense of humour

• An outstanding classroom practitioner 

• Able to disseminate consistent teaching and learning strategies throughout the school

• An excellent communicator who all stakeholders feel is approachable

• An experienced leader with who uses their knowledge and skills to ensure that all pupils make the best possible progress across their journey through the school. 

• Able to empower and inspire children and staff to be the best they can be

• Able to develop further our collaborative working with our Junior School

• Able to build upon our good relationships within school, partnerships and the wider community
