B&NES Grade M, points 25-28, 37 hours per week term time only + all INSETs + 10 days, actual salary £20,249 - £22,310 per annum (factor 46.6). Permanent contract. 37 hours per week, 8am – 4pm (variable) Monday – Thursday; 3.30pm finish on Friday. Occasional evening working may be required.
An outstanding person is required to provide proactive and highly confidential personal assistance to the Headteacher. You will assist them in carrying out their responsibilities in leading and managing a large and successful secondary school.
The ideal candidate will ensure that the administrative functions of the school work efficiently and effectively, organise high profile and other school events and take responsibility for the administration of admissions.
You will have oversight of the school’s HR function, working closely with the HR Officer, and will play a proactive role in producing the school’s internal and external communications, such as website, social media, newsletters and booklets.
Experience of a similar high level role is required, with excellent IT and written and spoken communication skills. You will thrive under pressure and tight deadlines, and be passionate about education. The ideal candidate would also have HR experience.

Ralph Allen School is a co-educational, non-denominational, over-subscribed academy for students aged 11 to 18 years, situated in the World Heritage city of Bath. Our ethos is one of achievement through respect, teamwork and personal best.
In 2016 it became a founder member of the Palladian Academy Trust, composed of eight local schools.
Ralph Allen School was named after the Bath mine owner, entrepreneur and philanthropist who helped with the building of Georgian Bath and the early development of the Post Office.
The school was founded in 1957 and became an academy in August 2012. It is celebrating its 60th anniversary during 2017-18. Following recent exciting campus developments, the school has formulated a comprehensive strategic vision for future campus expansion.
