Together We Believe, Achieve, Succeed
Partnership, Opportunity and Integrity
Following the retirement of the current Headteacher, Moorside High School are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, resilient and inspirational individual who can lead the school.
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Leader who believes they can support Moorside students academically, socially and emotionally, as they become successful learners and caring, well rounded citizens of the world.
It is our aim to deliver an outstanding educational experience to our pupils and prepare our young people for adult life. The Moorside learning community is one that provides opportunities for individuals to succeed, whilst providing the sanctuary of a family ethos. The vibrant and active nature of learning means that pupils are happy in the challenges and expectations they are faced with. Our students represent the diverse community Salford serves as a mixed ability, 11 –16 Academy for 1050 students with state of the art internal and external facilities, and we also host an Enhanced Resource Unit for up to 28 students.
The Trust operates a strong partnership approach and we would expect you to continue to take an active role in the Trust partnership of schools and their Leadership structure which focusses on sharing strong practice across all schools, growing and developing talented staff. We also continue to have a positive relationship with Salford LA and as the school sits on a campus, sharing facilities with Moorside Primary, Salford SEN team and Salford Youth Services you will need to be able to lead, manage, support and develop extended partnership working in a complex BSF/PFI arrangement.
If you are passionate about education and are enthusiastic about providing young people with as many creative and aspirational experiences as possible in order to develop the whole child, and can communicate this through clear strategic planning and delivery of both the school’s and the Trust’s vision then we would be interested in hearing from you.
