We offer:

  • A current school population of almost 1800 students spanning years 7 to 11
  • A school with significant improvement in overall Progress 8 scores in 2018 over 2017 and in particularly for our disadvantaged students
  • A team of talented, creative and hardworking staff and a well-informed, well trained and highly proactive Governing Body
  • Confident, happy and inquisitive students who have a desire to learn and an aspiration to succeed
  • The opportunity for you to put your own mark on the school’s journey of continuing improvement

Values and vision

Brookfield Community School aims for children to gain happiness, success and achievement, and to be the best that they can be. It offers students the strong foundations of support and challenge that success and achievement are built on. Through positive relationships, high quality teaching and an innovative, personalised curriculum, it believes it has created a stimulating learning environment.

The secondary school actively goes the extra mile to seek out and nurture every child’s talents, and develop the personal qualities and inner resilience required by a fast-changing and demanding world. However, the school believes it is the aspirations of the children, inspired by a team of highly committed and specialist staff, that are the heart of its growing success.

Ofsted report

“Under the dedicated leadership of its headteacher, supported well by other school leaders and staff, there have been wide-ranging improvements since the last inspection. Attainment overall is high and improving. The students' positive relationships with the teachers and their peers are demonstrated clearly in their good behaviour and high attendance. The quality of teaching has also improved. The proportion of good lessons has increased and the number of outstanding lessons is rising steadily.”
