Job overview

Headteacher, E-ACT Parkwood Academy

Sheffield

Competitive remuneration package

Due to the current Headteacher's internal move within E-ACT an excellent opportunity has arisen as Headteacher for Parkwood Academy.

Parkwood E-ACT Academy is an inclusive and culturally diverse, 11 – 16 secondary Academy, focused on providing the very best experience for our young people. We believe that every child can achieve and succeed.  We look to instil high aspirations and expect all to challenge themselves and extend their knowledge and understanding within a supportive and caring environment.

We benefit from being part of E-ACT, an established multi-Academy Trust with 29 academies across the country. This enables Academy leaders to draw on the knowledge of national experts to share good practice and support each other. We have learnt a great deal as MATs have evolved.   Having recently been chosen as the MAT of the Year 2023 at both the MAT Excellence Awards and National School Awards, we are excited about the future as we develop and grow.

Parkwood was rated “Good” by Ofsted in March 2023. We see this as a solid foundation to build upon but we have much more to do. We are looking for an emotionally intelligent leader with a vision of “excellence” to lead us on our journey.  With a track record of successful school leadership and personal values that match our own, you will be comfortable working with and influencing a broad range of individuals and organisations both within and outside of the Academy

You may be a Deputy looking to step up to a role at this level. We have the capacity to support such a transition for a talented leader. Alternatively, you may be an experienced Headteacher who is excited by the context of our school and the opportunity to lead and develop our provision further. Either way, leading others will be a strength and will set you apart.

We care deeply about delivering the highest quality of education for our young people. If you think you can build on our strengths and lead further success then download full details on the role from www.pentir.com/roles/parkwood.  For a confidential discussion please call our advising consultants at Pentir - Maureen Nicholas (07540 222 519) or Mike Phillips (07830 313 915).

E-ACT is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and vulnerable adults. All appointments are subject to enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) checks and satisfactory references. E-ACT is also committed to promoting equality, challenging discrimination and developing community cohesion. We welcome applications from all sections of the community.
