Job overview

REPORTING TO: Regional Director of Education (North)

About the Academy

E-ACT Pathways Academy serves an increasingly diverse community with an age range of 3-11 year olds. We are a relatively new Academy (opened September 2013, having previously been Longley Primary School) with a two form entry school and a strong Foundation unit. We place our children and their learning and well-being at the heart of our work to provide them with a pathway to excellence.

About E-ACT

E-ACT is about improving schools. We do this through a relentless focus on building strong teaching and learning, inspiring curricula, effective standard operating procedures and embedding a culture based on our values of thinking big, doing the right thing and showing team spirit. The E-ACT team includes over 2,000 employees based across 24 academy teams, six regional teams and one national team.

About the role

We are seeking to appoint an exceptional individual to join the Academy from September 2017. We are looking for an individual with a strong track record of performance, who relishes the opportunity to lead in all areas of education, and is driven by establishing a culture of pupil and staff happiness, high achievement, safety and personal growth.

The E-ACT leadership model allows Headteachers to focus on what they do best - improving the performance of staff, pupils and the academy’s reach in the local community. The operational management of the school is run by a Regional Operations Director, meaning that they will be responsible for budget management, estates management and line management of operational support staff or ICT in the academy.

Our ideal candidate

Are you passionate about achieving outstanding teaching and learning in every classroom? Do you want to inspire children through engaging curriculums, and do you excel at developing your teaching staff to be the best they can possibly be? If so, then this could be the role for you!

Why work for us?

This is an exciting opportunity to join an ambitious team at the heart of the local community. We are committed to development through E-ACT’s professional learning programme, delivered in partnership with leading training providers including Teaching Leaders (now Ambition Schools Leadership).

We are a leader in the education sector for our outstanding benefits including a generous maternity policy and opportunities for flexible working.
