Are you looking for an opportunity to take on the leadership of a large primary school at the heart of an established and supportive community? Bridge Farm Primary School is a 3-form entry school, located in Whitchurch, South Bristol, with an extremely strong staff team, a skilled and committed governing body and highly supportive parents/carers. We are seeking an inspiring leader to take up the role of Headteacher at this Outstanding school, developing its distinctive ethos and ensuring it benefits from being part of a large and successful multi-academy trust.

Bridge Farm Primary School joined the Futura Learning Partnership family of schools in September 2022. Futura is a respected multi-academy trust operating in Somerset and the West of England region that in 2023 will comprise 27 schools with 12,000 children and 1,500 staff. Each school retains its own identity, reflective of the community it serves, while enjoying the support of a strong trust. Our Futura curriculum has been developed collaboratively to ensure we can help all our pupils to fulfil their potential. We are also committed to creating an environment in which our talented staff thrive.

We are looking for a Headteacher who:

  • Has a proven track record of raising pupil attainment across the primary phase.
  • Is supportive of Futura Learning Partnership aims and committed to working closely with other trust senior leaders and their schools.
  • Will empower and inspire staff, promoting effective teaching and learning, developing the school’s ethos and encouraging innovation.
  • Will optimise the social and emotional development of children so they can become well rounded, caring individuals.
  • Will build upon good relationships within the school, across our trust, with parents and in the wider community.
  • Is committed to excellent safeguarding procedures.

In return we can offer you:

  • A strong programme of leadership support and development, delivered by experienced professionals.
  • Positive, courteous and thoughtful children who take pride in their school.
  • An excellent team of practitioners, passionate about improving children's opportunities and outcomes.
  • Strong community links and highly supportive parents.
  • A proactive and energetic local governing committee.
  • Generous staff benefits including discounted sports centre/gym membership, free wellbeing support & medical cover, free on-site parking and cycle to work scheme.

If you share our passion for raising aspirations and increasing children’s life chances through education, and if you believe that you have the skills and expertise to make a significant contribution to the life and work of our school, pleased consider joining Bridge Farm Primary School as its Headteacher.

We warmly invite you to make a visit the school where you will be able to meet members of staff and children. To arrange your visit please contact Tor Manuel at Futura Learning Partnership central team office on 0117 946 1229.

Futura Learning Partnership is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Your suitability to work with children and young people will form part of the selection process. For this post, prior to appointment Futura Learning Partnership will apply for a satisfactory enhanced Disclosure and Barring check, a Children’s Barred list check, two satisfactory references, satisfactory pre-employment health screening and for Teachers, a Prohibition Check in relation to the children’s workforce.
