At Riverside Primary School we are looking for an inspirational, dynamic and passionate leader or leaders with the vison and ideas to develop and build upon our school’s successes and strengths. Our nursery and primary school is situated in Bermondsey in the London Borough of Southwark and was judged “Good” by Ofsted in December 2023 in that:
· Leaders, staff and governors want the very best for pupils and have high expectations of them.
· Pupils have a wonderfully positive attitude to learning. Pupils’ behaviour is exemplary in lessons, in the playground and around the school and was judged Outstanding.
· Across subjects, the curriculum ensures that pupils build up their knowledge and skills securely.
· Staff, including those new to their careers, feel very well supported by the school. They feel that the school considers carefully staff’s workload and well-being. Staff are very happy to work at Riverside.
Applications will be welcome either individually or as joint applications for appointment as co-headteachers. We are looking for candidates who:
· Can provide motivational and energetic leadership with experience of raising standards and who have high expectations of pupils and staff.
· Are passionate and positive and able to inspire all staff and pupils while still commanding their respect.
· Can demonstrate evidence of leading with staff and implementing difficult but successful decisions.
· Can drive improvements across the school focused on a realistic plan to achieve them.
