Ashcroft is a happy and successful infant and nursery school located on the north side of Tamworth. Ofsted has recently (June 2016) confirmed that Ashcroft is a Good School. The school is seeking a committed hands-on leader with a passion for giving children the best possible start to their formal education in an environment which recognises the importance of their personal, social and emotional development. A tradition of strong leadership, dedicated teaching and support staff, and supportive parents mean that achievement is above average against almost all benchmarks.

The successful candidate will be an individual who is keen to work with, lead, challenge and inspire a committed team of Teachers, whilst demonstrating their own substantial experience in the classroom as an Early Years and Key Stage 1 practitioner and leader.

As the ideal candidate you will:

• have proven experience as a Headteacher or Deputy Head with excellent working knowledge of all stages of nursery and infant education
• have excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to lead, inspire, challenge and support
• be committed to developing the whole child whilst ensuring high levels of achievement
• be open, caring, approachable and friendly
