We are looking for an inspiring Headteacher to join our new fantastic team at Wetheringsett Manor School. As Headteacher, you will promote a relentless focus on high quality, creative learning and safe and secure care. You will oversee our pupils educational needs, maximising children’s achievement, and their ability to develop as well as maintain a safe and secure environment for our residential children.


This is a great opportunity for a Headteacher who is looking to be an innovative and strategic leader, ensuring the School have the resources, staff and ability to inspire learning in both academic and personal SEN environments, for children with varied Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) and complex needs. Your work will be challenging and rewarding in equal measure and you will be the custodian of our strong safeguarding culture, where pupils are listened to, respected, and involved in as many decisions as possible.


The successful candidate will deliver clear, authentic leadership to our multidisciplinary team, establishing a school vision and strategic plan, which inspires your team to deliver high levels of safety, quality, compliance, and dedication. You will ensure your school provisions have effective management and an engaged, high performing team to deliver outstanding education.

About us:


Wetheringsett Manor School is a new independent day SEMH School for up to 42 pupils aged 11-19. Our dedicated team work together to ensure successful outcomes for pupils who often arrive at the school with a troubled view of education and life.


Wetheringsett Manor School, based in Suffolk, has been through significant refurbishment, opened to pupils in November 2020. The Manor House is located in 17 acres of parkland with wooded boundaries and sits on the edge of the village of Wetheringsett. The accommodation also provides several other buildings including a converted stable block, a cottage and two industrial units.

Wetheringsett Manor School site is currently going through significant refurbishment and is based in Suffolk, East Anglia. The Manor House is located in 17 acres of parkland with wooded boundaries and sits on the edge of the village of Wetheringsett. The accommodation also provides several other buildings including a converted stable block, a cottage and two industrial units. This a great opportunity for us in the Suffolk area to expand and complement our current SEMH provisions that are struggling to facilitate for all referrals due to full capacity.
