An amazing opportunity has arisen at our popular school due to the career progression of our current Headteacher to a new headship to work with a new Local Authority and closer to home and family.

The governors are seeking to appoint an aspirational and innovative Headteacher who will provide professional leadership and management of the school. We are looking for someone who will develop, provide and implement the vision and strategic direction for Blundeston CofE VC Primary School so that the school and our committed team of staff are able to ensure that all pupils receive an outstanding, positive education to raise their ambitions and broadens their horizons.

The school is situated in the village of Blundeston in Suffolk, approx. 4 miles from Lowestoft and 8 miles from Great Yarmouth. We are fortunate to have a beautiful countryside location, with major connecting roads nearby for easy commuting.

On selection of our new Headteacher, we would like to involve you in the appointment of the Deputy Headteacher. Closing date: 30 April. Shortlisting is planned for w/c 1 May, interviews are planned for w/c 15 May 2023.

You will need to be able to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing in order to undertake the requirements of the role.

Closing date: 9am, 17 April 2023.

Interview date: 26/27 April 2023.

This post is likely to come under the requirements of the Childcare (Disqualification) 2009 Regulations and the successful applicant will be required to complete a declaration form to establish whether they are disqualified under these regulations.
