Chilton Primary is a large, community primary school in the Mid Suffolk town of Stowmarket, with a mixed catchment area. Centrally located within the town, it has easy access by road and main line rail to London Liverpool Street. The governors of the school are currently seeking to appoint an inspirational and motivational Headteacher to lead our school from 'Good' to 'Outstanding'.

We are a reflective, creative, lively and caring school with strong family values and a distinctive ethos; having recently been awarded with the National Family First Award. We want to continue to be a school in the heart of a close community.

To lead our committed team of hardworking, enthusiastic staff we are looking for a Headteacher who:

• has the ability to motivate and inspire everyone at Chilton Primary
• is committed to quality first teaching and learning
• is creative and imaginative in their ideas, with high aspirations for excellence in artistic, creative and sporting achievements
• has experience of achieving academic success particularly closing the gap
• has a good sense of humour
• is fully engaged with inclusive practice and removing barriers to learning
• will enthusiastically encourage parents and carers to work in partnership with the school
• can strengthen the links between school and hard to reach families
• has a strong belief that all children can succeed and will support them to do so
• can work in collaboration with other schools and strengthen relationships with the local community
• can demonstrate excellent strategic planning and sound financial management.
