Job overview

The governors seek to appoint an inspirational and strategic Headteacher to lead Ringshall School following the early retirement of the existing Headteacher.

We are looking for a Headteacher who can:

  • Guide the school as it moves forward to an exciting period in its development
  • Demonstrate confident leadership and drive the school with an unrelenting pursuit of excellence
  • Inspire the staff and pupils using the schools values and ethos that promotes an inclusive learning community, where all members are respected regardless of gender, race, age or beliefs
  • Rise to the challenge of an impending Ofsted following guidance from a hugely experienced and well respected Interim Headteacher (both the interim and the appointed Headteacher will work in co-operation for at least 1 month subject to experience).

We are a village school that has recently experienced the inclusion of a Year 5 and 6 cohort. The school benefits from a large playing field in addition to a spacious playground. Classrooms are well furnished with modern facilities including electronic white boards and IPads.

Our catchment area includes the villages surrounding Ringshall, Great Bricett, Barking, Wattisham Village and Wattisham Flying Station, home of the British Army's Attack Helicopter Force.
