Job overview

Seeks a new Headteacher from September 2024

Salary Range: L16 to L22 (Group 4 Outer London) £72,144 to £82,852 per annum

The Opportunity

Following the retirement of our headteacher, we are excited to offer an exceptional opportunity for an enthusiastic and talented headteacher or deputy headteacher to join our thriving Christian two-form entry primary school. We are looking for a person who relishes a challenge and can build upon our strengths, take our school to the next level and provide our pupils with a challenging and creative curriculum of the future. In April 2023, our school maintained its ‘good’ rating from Ofsted. Since that inspection, we have continued to excel, achieving excellent Key Stage 2 SAT results and ranking in the top 5% of all primary schools nationally for our Year 1 phonics screening.

We aim for excellent achievement and progress in all that we do. We develop learning for life in all its fullness and inspiring the best in everyone. This is supported by our strong Christian ethos and reflected in our children as they grow into confident, responsible and compassionate young people.

What we are looking for

We are looking to recruit a passionate, positive and talented Headteacher to lead our dedicated and driven staff team, engaged pupils, and enthusiastic parent community.

We are seeking a dynamic individual who demonstrates a passion for children, education and a commitment to excellence; someone who shapes a growth culture in which all are empowered to fulfil their roles and reach their individual potential as well as being dedicated to improving the outcomes of our pupils.

As Headteacher, you will lead the strategic direction of the school that is a key driver in school improvement and complements our distinct Christian ethos. You will have a proven track record in school leadership, raising standards and improving outcomes, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

What Our School can offer

Our school is a happy, diverse and successful voluntary-aided school located in the heart of Cheam village with strong partnerships with the Cheam Ministry Team, Southwark Diocese and the wider school community.

A modern school building which has extensive green space, playgrounds, and outdoor learning space along with reflective and spiritual areas.

Pupils who enjoy learning and thrive on the challenge of using a range of resources and facilities available to enhance their development.

We are blessed with a strong staff team who work well together and are passionate about teaching a vibrant and broad curriculum.

The school has a dedicated, proactive and supportive governing body who is committed to your personal development as a lifelong learner.
