Headteacher

The Link Secondary School provides education to pupils with speech, language and communication needs. It is a small and friendly school providing for up to 54 pupils including a sixth form. The school is a non-maintained special school and is part of The Link Day Schools which also provides a primary school. The schools are situated within 400 metres of each other in the London borough of Sutton.

The school currently requires improvement and we are seeking a Headteacher who:

• Has a successful track record of strategic leadership and school improvement in secondary schools
• Demonstrates a passion for learning and teaching, understanding the needs of pupils with SEN, speech, language and communication needs and ASD
• Is a strong and emotionally intelligent leader able to inspire, challenge and empower others and with the energy and ability to drive the school forward
• Has the achievements, progress and well-being of pupils as the top priority
• Aims to promote a positive and supportive ethos for pupils and staff where all are valued, encouraged and challenged to achieve the best they can
• Has a strong sense of the importance of the school community and the ability to communicate and manage relationships effectively
• Can demonstrate a collaborative style of leadership
