Job overview

Full Time Teaching Hours

In preparation for the retirement of our highly valued Headteacher we are looking for a dedicated and inspiring new Headteacher to work with our strong leadership team. They will have the clear vision and ambition to build on the many successes of the school and its pupils.

Rosehill Methodist Community Primary School is a successful, vibrant and innovative large primary with 475 children on roll. Judged Good by Ofsted and an outstanding church School in its SIAMS inspection. It has a proven track record of improvement through innovation, strong leadership and high quality teaching.

The school was built in 2003 and occupies a large, well equipped and attractive site. Sharing the building was a Children's Centre and private day care business but these parts of the building are now vacant and are being taken over by the school providing exciting opportunities for strengthening support for our local community.

The school will also become a founder member of The Wesley Trust in 2017, a multi academy trust being established by the Methodist Church. This will develop our already strong links with the church and provide opportunities for working with the wider network of Good and Outstanding Methodist schools and the Methodist Independent schools.

We believe this a great foundation, providing an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, innovative and highly motivated person to build on. Someone with the right track record and a commitment to enabling children to thrive spiritually, physically, socially and academically.

A person committed to strengthening the commitment to:

  • maximising the achievement and opportunities for children;
  • links with the Methodist church;
  • providing a clear understanding of the nature of Christian leadership and the ability and fitness to sustain and develop the religious character of the school.

If you would like to learn more about the school please visit the website at: http://www.rosehill.tameside.sch.uk/

We would welcome visits to the school please contact Gayle Clayworth on 0161 343 8485 to arrange an appointment.

Completed application forms should be returned to school for the attention of Gayle Clayworth, no later than Friday 7th April 2017.

Rosehill Methodist Community Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. School strictly adheres to our Safer Recruitment Policy. Appointment to this post is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring and background check.
