Values and vision

Tarporley High School strongly believes in supporting all students, regardless of background or initial academic achievement. It is a highly supportive environment, particularly for less able students who face barriers to learning. The school is committed to closing the educational gap and ensuring that all students have an equal chance of success.

Teachers work hard to maximise the life chances of children and prepare them for a future in employment, college or university. This a safe and welcoming school that delivers a broad and balanced curriculum and a wide range of extra-curricular opportunities.

Ofsted report

“Through well thought out and targeted spending of the extra money provided, the school is rapidly closing the gap that existed between the achievement of students eligible for support through the pupils premium and that of other students. The curriculum is tailored to meet the needs and aspirations of students extremely well. The rich variety of extra-curricular activity has a positive impact on students’ social, moral, spiritual and cultural development.”
