Headteacher

Due to the recent retirement of our highly regarded and long  serving Headteacher the Governors, staff and children of Sir Alexander Fleming are looking to appoint a new Headteacher. The Governors invite applications from suitably enthusiastic and qualified people for this rewarding post in our school, which has an enviable academic and pastoral care record.

We are a ‘good school’ (OFSTED March 2018).

The Governors are looking for a Headteacher who can:-

• Lead our dedicated team of teachers, classroom assistants and other support staff
• Maintain our vibrant, happy, friendly, welcoming school and community with an outstanding, caring ethos, children who are committed, enthusiastic and fully engaged in their learning, a determined leadership team with committed staff and a supportive and active Governing Body.
• Work successfully to overcome barriers to achievement by  motivating staff and inspiring children
• Demonstrate a love of teaching and be highly visible, demonstrating an approachable leadership style.
